Main duties of the job
Your focus as a Care Assistant will be to deliver high standards of personal care and support the care team to ensure continuity of services for residents. Other responsibilities include:
* Assisting residents with personal hygiene to promote independence and maintain dignity.
* Recognising and monitoring clinical risk areas such as weight loss, pressure sores, fall risk, and signs of infection, and escalating any identified risks promptly.
* Acting courteously towards residents and visitors, respecting dignity and individuality.
* Practising safe systems of work across a range of tasks.
About you
To be successful, you will live our values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable. Experience is not required as we provide induction and training. Our ideal candidate must:
* Have the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
* Demonstrate initiative and respect towards residents and other people in the home.
* Be an efficient worker who can follow reasonable instructions from team members.
* Be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities on short notice.
Required documentation
* A DBS Disclosure check (cost met by Avery Healthcare).
* Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
