The C&I Technician will form part of the maintenance team and will be responsible for conducting planned and reactive maintenance work on the sites instruments and control systems to ensure maximum plant availability.
Reporting to the EC&I Engineer, responsibilities will include: · Fault finding, repair work and planned and unplanned maintenance on all C&I assets to maximise plant availability.
This includes pressure, level, temperature and flow sensors, control systems and some electrical equipment such as motors and variable speed drives · Collaborating with other Technicians and Engineers to ensure an accurate daily schedule is produced and worked to · Work with the site engineering team on plant improvement projects and upgrades · Assisting during site outages / shutdowns when required · Maintaining accurate maintenance records using the site CMMS The ideal candidate will have: · An apprenticeship in electrical/instrumentation engineering or similar · A relevant engineering qualification at HNC/ONC level or similar · Proven hands-on maintenance experience across control and instrumentation maintenance in a relevant engineering environment – power plant, refinery, paper mill, steel works, chemical, water treatment etc.
· Experience using CMMS (Computerised xxuwjjq Maintenance Management Systems) · Knowledge of relevant legislation e.g., health and safety and environmental etc.
