As a Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-impact projects that make a real difference. Working 08:00-16:30 Monday to Thursday and an early finish Friday with a possibly of a hybrid working pattern. Paying £40-45 per hour Umbrella or LCC.
What You Will Do:
- Lead detailed 3D CAD design work using Creo 9.0 or higher, producing top-quality models, assemblies, and engineering drawings.
- Manage Bills of Materials (BoMs) and CAD data in PLM systems, ensuring accuracy and full traceability.
- Collaborate closely with Lead Engineers and project teams to support integration projects from concept to manufacture.
- Balance weight, cost, strength, and assembly feasibility to deliver optimised design solutions.
- Contribute to the successful build and delivery of vehicles for global defence customers by meeting precision and quality standards.
- Provide hands-on, delivery-focused engineering expertise in a specialist team environment.
What You Will Bring:
- Extensive experience as a Design Engineer in the Defence, Automotive, or Aerospace industries.
- UK eyes only role so only UK nationals to apply
- Able to pass a DBS and SC Clearance Check
- Expert-level proficiency in Creo 9.0 or higher for 3D CAD design (essential).
- Experience with Windchill PLM or similar systems for CAD and BoM management.
- Knowledge of fabrication, machining, and composite manufacturing methods.
- A proactive, self-sufficient approach with the ability to meet tight deadlines and deliver outstanding results.
