What are we looking for We have an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Supervisor. This role will support the Maintenance and Facilities Manager in driving daily activities relating to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and People. The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for over-seeing day to day operations and maintenance of the building or facility, ensuring its safety and functionality. The position will supervise the Facilities and Hygiene Team, manage budgets, coordinate with Contractors and ensure compliance with safety regulations, ensuring legal compliance with statutory instruments is maintained at all times. The role also involves a hands-on approach to day to day repairs. Hours of work 07.30am – 15.30pm Monday - Friday Responsibilities • Lead by example to your team and reflect best practice in everything you do • The ability to repair faults or pre-determine the root cause of basic issues • Be responsible for enacting all emergency procedures on site during shift • Responsible for ensuring all SSoW are adhered to on shift. • Ensure strict adherence to the Contractor Management System • Be the first port of call for people related questions and to escalate these to the relevant Champion 6S in your area and support and promote all aspects of continuous improvement within ITM Power • Ensure department meets or exceeds all expectations within aspects of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and People set out in policies and procedures or objectives set by ITM Power • Feedback progress on SQDCP when required and conduct investigations relating to SQDCP • Work proactively in reviewing critical documents relating to SQDCP and communicate any information to your team as it is required • Liaise with Production Managers and identify any risks to production plans and escalate • Create, set and monitor local objectives within shift • Ensure all team members adhere to the ITM Local Rules and Access Card use • Support with implementing and enforcing systems, procedures, and policies • Control and monitor attendance and logging of production hours and throughput to the required frequency • Utilise local Annual Leave Tracker to manage A/L and ensure there is always leadership cover on shift • Report absences immediately to HR and complete reporting paperwork in a timely and efficient manner • Conduct Absence Management Welfare meetings under the direction and support of HR • Recruit candidates to the agreed standards and ensure inductions are carried out and new starters are on boarded effectively • Coach, mentor and support your team by setting goals and objectives and monitoring your team against them • Hold regular 121’s with direct Team Leaders to support them with their progression • Manage the competency process by identifying skills gaps and ensuring the Skills Tracker is reflective. • Define and prioritise individual training plans for the department and ensure the Skills Matrix is reflective • Actively promote and adhere to the companies Environmental Policies and Procedures regarding all waste streams • Attend and support shift hand overs to ensure effective communication • Collaborate with the Production Planning Team and communicate to ensure adherence to plan, escalating when required • Communicate effectively with other departments and all key stakeholders and relay important information back to the respective team • Ensure all RA’s have populated Questionnaires, updated regularly and the RA Tracker reflects the level of completion • Ensure all equipment is available and maintained including calibration and safety critical equipment • Attend training sessions accordingly • HSE supervisor management e.g. Risk Assessment review and training • Logging of all service documents to meet compliance • All compliance remedial works logged and auditable • Manage all PM’S and Service contracts for the buildings • CCTV Access and coverage for investigations • Arranging contractors and contractor management on site • 24-hour Support in an Emergency • Management of the Security Contracts • Conduct a register of weekend working and communicate with Security • Project support for buildings and facilities changes • Appointed person for Fire Alarm Systems • Co-ordinate Fire drills with HSE and testing of the equipment • Manages Site Access Systems • Facilities Budget Management • Repair and installation Support to Production and Non-Production • Site Services support to all Teams • Liaise with 3rd parties for business support • Ensure that all legal requirements are maintained and records kept up to date • Management of full site legal compliance About You Knowledge and Experience • Awareness of the S,Q,D,C,P (or equivalent) model of communication • Experience within a manufacturing environment • Experienced at leading/supervising teams of production operatives and team leaders • A good awareness of document control and organisational skills • Experience of a project environment would be beneficial but not essential • Experience in the generation of method statements/SOP/ SSOW and risk assessments • Experience at delivering to plan right first time • Clear knowledge of competencies required in the allocated operational areas • Full understanding of the shop floor policies and procedures. • Experienced at managing workflow • Good understanding of 6S • A good background in facilities management experienced in the control of both ‘hard’ and ‘soft’ ser-vice provision • Knowledge of M&E systems/installations with an understanding of the operation of HVAC, electrical distribution and generation, UPS, comms room, fire detection/protection and other engineering systems including building management and energy management systems Skills and Abilities • Excellent time management skills and a willingness to remain flexible and adaptable • Good organisational and reporting skills • Strong communication skills, able to effectively interact with all key stakeholders • Practical, analytical and logical problem-solving skills • A team player with strong people skills who can engage and motivate • A good level of IT competence in Microsoft packages • Must be able to positively influence and build good working relationships with people at
