 
        
        What you’ll be doing
 1. Sound technical knowledge, particularly with our main vendor, Nokia, to lead and support your colleagues on completing various UK Network Infrastructure upgrade activities. 
 2. Ability to lead and manage a group of team members, providing suitable guidance and dealing with all relevant operational and HR related activities.
 3. Own and manage any incidents or escalations, devising solutions with other business areas as required, implementing these in the network to deliver value to BT and our customers. 
 4. Liaise with Change Management and Professional Services to ensure all network change documentation is fit for purpose and best practice is followed in accordance with Serious About Service
 5. Use technical skills and experience to onboard new projects, manage proof of concepts and process validation. 
 6. Facilitate the delivery of automation, relevant system developments and process changes. 
 7. Keep updated with activities beyond your immediate specialty in the team to understand the E2E process and customer impacts.
 8. Provide clear and effective communication when engaging internal and external stakeholders when undertaking new projects as well as keeping them up to date on progress. 
 9. Responsible for your own continuous self-development and for the identification of personal and team knowledge gaps, identifying a suitable source of training to support personal and team development to the benefit of the business and customers.
 10. Accountable for contributing towards automation across projects by using available software tools to identify automation opportunities. 
 11. Contributing to the development of new and existing playbooks and processes whilst using initiative to ensure projects are constantly moving forward without issue or delay.

Technical Skills:
 27. Sound understanding of Nokia hardware including installation, upgrades and fault resolution.
 28. Understanding of the BT network architecture and ability to consider and mitigate network change risks.
 29. Own and manage change activities and incidents effectively. 
Experience Required for the Role
MANDATORY 
 30. Experience of handling change activities and incidents including Post Incident Reviews.
 31. Experience of resolving complex issues under time constraints.
 32. Strong Interpersonal skills and Leadership potential.
 33. Good understanding of processes and procedures and contribution to their success. 
DESIRABLE
 34. Experienced in the automation of processes to improve light touch practices and increase output.
 35. Agile and Waterfall development methods using JIRA, Kanban, others.
 36. Knowledge of BT’s 21st Century Network (Nokia Equipment), Converged Core and IP Platforms.
