Our stunning care home, Formby Manor Care Centre, is a purpose-built facility located in Formby, Merseyside. The home is registered to provide care to 76 residents with a variety of needs, including residential, nursing, and dementia care. The home reflects the New Care vision of providing the highest standards of safety, comfort, and care. It meets all CQC requirements and invests in enhancing the resident experience through programs like OOMPH, an award-winning activities and wellbeing program. Additionally, electronic medication administration records and electronic systems are used throughout the home. Formby Manor is equipped with acoustic monitoring and silent nurse call systems. We have maintained 0 agency usage for over 5 years by employing a permanent staff team, ensuring continuity of care from staff who know and residents who trust them. Across New Care, all staff are paid at least the national minimum wage.
We are seeking to appoint kind, caring, and compassionate Care Assistants to join our team. You will deliver quality care to residents in line with agreed Care Plans and contribute to the efficient running of the home. We offer a full-time contract with an hourly rate of £12.21. Shift times are 07:45-20:00, with alternate weekend working.
Role Responsibilities:
* Deliver “hands-on” care to residents in a person-centered way.
* Support residents to enjoy a good quality of life.
* Model best practice when delivering care.
* Assist residents with all aspects of their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs in line with care plans.
* Contribute to daily records of residents.
* Support effective teamwork and undertake delegated tasks efficiently.
* Promote and safeguard the welfare of adults in contact with the post holder.
Skills and Experience Required:
* Experience at Care Assistant level is preferable.
* Care certificate or equivalent, or willingness to achieve within 12 months.
* Good knowledge of care practices for older people.
* Understanding of the 6 principles of care and their application in residential/nursing settings.
* Ability to work well in a team.
* Self-motivated and confident.
