4. Lead and manage the accounting and finance department, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and reporting requirements.
5. Develop and implement financial strategies to improve cost efficiency and profitability.
6. Provide accurate and timely financial reports to senior management for decision-making purposes.
7. Manage cash flow, investments, and risk to ensure financial stability and growth.
8. Collaborate with other departments to align financial goals with operational strategies.
9. Monitor and analyse financial performance, identifying trends and recommending actions for improvement.
10. Ensure robust internal controls and implement best practices in financial management.
The Successful Applicant
Essential
11. Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
12. Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role within an SME or owner-managed environment
13. Strong experience in cashflow forecasting and working capital management
14. Demonstrable experience improving processes, controls, and reporting
15. Commercially astute with the ability to influence and challenge stakeholders
16. Hands-on, resilient, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, demanding environment
17. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
