About the Role: As a Supported Housing Worker, you’ll be the steady hand helping people move on from first‑stage accommodation into safer, more independent living. You’ll work with individuals who’ve experienced homelessness and may be navigating trauma, mental ill‑health, substance use or domestic abuse—often alongside support from multiple services. With your calm, person‑centred approach, you’ll turn the next step into a fresh start and celebrate every milestone along the way. Day to day, you’ll manage referrals, complete needs and risk assessments, and shape clear, achievable plans that keep people housed and building confidence. You’ll focus on practical progress—benefits, budgeting and tenancy skills—while ensuring homes are safe and well managed. You’ll collaborate closely with partner agencies to create joined‑up, multi‑agency support, and you’ll keep accurate, timely records that help us learn, improve and showcase impact. What you’ll be doing: - Manage referrals & assessments – triage referrals, complete needs and risk assessments, and co-create clear, achievable support plans with clients. - Onboard new client – makes sure each person understands their rights, responsibilities and licence conditions, and has a valid Housing Benefit claim in place. - Safeguard & respond – act promptly on incidents and safeguarding concerns, recording actions taken and ensuring appropriate follow-up. - Keep records clear – complete admin on time and to a high standard in the electronic case-management system, with detailed, concise and accurate notes.
