Your responsibilities will include but may not be limited to:
1. Prepare corporation tax computations and LLP income tax computations and review those prepared by the accounts/audit team for corporate client.
2. Preparation/review of personal tax returns.
3. Preparation/review of forms P11D.
4. Point of contact for clients.
5. Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients.
6. Dealing with HMRC enquiries into personal and corporate tax returns.
7. Working with Managers and Directors on tax advisory projects for existing clients and prospects (for example, restructuring/reorganisations, remuneration planning, incorporations, share buy-backs, R&D tax credits, EMI schemes, EIS and SEIS applications).
8. Assisting the Managers and Directors with research into other technical areas.
9. Training and supervision of junior team members.
10. Preparation of fees for clients.
11. Involvement in management of the team.
To be considered for this role you will need to be:
12. Preferably CTA Qualified or Part Qualified, however candidates with ACA/ACCA/ATT or QBE who have been working in tax long term gaining the skills outlined for the role will also be considered.
13. Strong literacy and numerical skills
14. Strong base of experience in a mixed tax role, preferably with a minimum of 50% Corporate Tax practical knowledge.
15. Strong IT skills – Excel and ideally Iris
16. A minimum of 3 years practice experience
17. Good up-to-date technical knowledge including recent developments within the tax arena
18. Communication – oral and written, ability to deal with variety of people in different environments
