Your new role
1. Deliver category sales, margin and profit to budgeted levels and beyond.
2. Negotiate cost of goods and manage cost increase proposals.
3. Develop appropriate promotional strategies to drive sales and profitability.
4. Manage the successful implementation of new product ranges
5. Assist the team in reordering of product ranges for all departments
6. Deliver sales and profit on key seasonal plans. Review and act upon market trends and opportunities to develop ranges andpetitive prices for each event.
7. Assess current pricing, margin performance, and ensure the price position is market-leading through better sourcing opportunities.
8. Build and sustain a high-performing engaged team by providing clear direction, stretch targets and regular reviews.
9. Ensure that cash and carry inbound service levels are on target. To maintain an acceptable source of product supply to all customers
What you'll need to succeed
10. Strongmercial acumen and interpersonal skills, including strong influencing / negotiation skills.
11. Proven track record and Min. 5 years’ experience within the FMCG Retail or Foodservice Trade working within a Trading/ Buying environment
12. Ability to prioritise workload and differentiate between urgent and important tasks and stay calm under pressure.
