Overview
Generalist Indirect Procurement Specialist opportunity with a leading UK Charity. Role focuses on indirect procurement across a diverse category portfolio including IT, digital, HR, Finance, Car Fleet, professional services, fundraising and marketing. This is a hybrid position based in SE London: 3 days in the office per week (contractual) with up to 2 days home working; more days in the office can be accommodated.
Responsibilities
* Contribute to the team to deliver value for money for every £ spent and ensure ethical procurement to support the charity's reputation.
* Source a range of equipment, goods and services and manage a variety of vendors.
* Perform strategic procurement activities across defined sub-categories of spend.
* Maintain up-to-date market expertise and work with key stakeholders to develop and execute category plans that achieve objectives and manage procurement risk.
Requirements
* Membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (MCIPS) or working towards MCIPS, or a relevant degree level or equivalent education.
* Experience in General Indirect procurement (professional services or IT) or Indirect category management including running tenders for a variety of goods and services.
* Strong day-to-day project planning, delivery and management skills.
* Excellent communication, influencing and negotiating skills with strong analysis and problem-solving abilities.
* Proven experience managing a broad group of internal stakeholders with differing priorities.
* Open to backgrounds from Commercial or Not-for-Profit procurement functions.
* Competent user of MS Office including PowerPoint and other relevant technologies and systems.
