Technical Coordinator
Location: Durrington, West Sussex
Salary: Up To £35,000
Hours: 37 hours per week / Hybrid working (3 Days in the office, 2 days working from home)

We are looking to recruit a Technical Co-ordinator to join our Wastewater Technical Team within Developer Services. The purpose of the role is to ensure an excellent customer journey whilst reviewing the technical information for wastewater connection applications including Site plans, Drainage plans, Utility Plans, and Sustainability on customer projects. This role will report to the Technical Manager and will have regular contact with various customers including Housing Developer, consultants, site managers and homeowners.
You’ll be joining a dynamic team, where you'll collaborate closely to effectively communicate our internal requirements to match the needs of our customers within the Developer Services team.
Our comprehensive training period will cover your first couple of months, a presence at our Durrington office will be necessary as you familiarise yourself with our operational methods. Once you are trained and operating, we operate hybrid working policy so you'll work remotely two days a week and join us at the office for at least three days.
The essence of this role revolves around serving our developer customers:
· Managing the flow of technical information across various projects concurrently to ensure timely delivery of wastewater connection schemes to promptly meet our customers' needs.
· Reviewing and approving architects' and engineers' drawings, while fostering strong external relationships to address concerns effectively, ultimately enhancing our ability to meet customer expectations.
· Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including planning authorities, to ensure that planning conditions are met, aligning with our commitment to delivering projects that benefit our customers.
· Engaging directly with customers on Regulatory matters, guiding them through the application process to ensure compliance and smooth project progression.
· Developing and approving wastewater connection designs in consultation with customers, ensuring that they meet industry standards and align with customer preferences.
· Ensuring that developer customers submit applications to the highest standards, offering support where needed to streamline the process and meet customer expectations.
· Providing guidance and training to junior team members to ensure that they can effectively meet customer needs under your mentorship.
Ideal candidates for this role should possess a strong educational background. Dedication to outstanding customer service, showcasing patience, empathy, and resilience while maintaining professionalism. Financial acumen would be beneficial, whilst an Engineering or water/environmental sciences qualification HNC/D or Degree level is desirable but not essential. You should hold current driving licence and ability to attend site meetings.
While these qualifications are desirable, we also value candidates with relevant experience and a proactive attitude towards learning and professional development.
