We’re looking for a Programme Manager on an interim basis to take ownership of high‑impact programmes and portfolios, guiding a team of Project Managers to deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients and our business.
What You’ll Be Doing
As our Programme Manager, you’ll be right at the heart of our biggest change initiatives. You will:
Lead People
1. Inspire, motivate and develop a team of Project Managers
2. Build strong succession plans and lead with clear, confident communication
Delight Clients
3. Champion high delivery standards across Target
4. Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders at every level
5. Ensure projects are expertly scoped, planned, and delivered to agreed milestones
Drive Financial Performance
6. Deliver programmes on time, within budget, and to quality expectations
7. Work with Finance and PMO to ensure accurate financial control and reporting
8. Support bids, pricing, and commercial negotiations
Enhance Processes
9. Run programmes in line with Target’s frameworks, ensuring compliance and control
10. Report progress, escalate risks, and embed lessons learned
11. Promote continuous improvement, lean delivery, and high performance
12. Ensure risks are managed responsibly and regulatory standards are always met

Experience & Qualifications
You have:
23. A PM qualification (APM, Prince2, or equivalent)
24. Strong commercial and portfolio awareness
25. Confidence working with clients and internal teams
26. Experience leading projects using both Waterfall and Agile
27. Programme and project scheduling skills (MS Project)
28. A track record delivering on time, cost and quality
29. Experience developing and leading PMs and Programme Managers
30. Experience working with KPIs and resource management
Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)
31. Experience delivering in outsourced or Financial Services environments
32. BPO experience or offshore team collaboration
33. Exposure to ISO/CMMI
34. Agile qualifications
35. MSP certification
