What You Will Do
* Manage a team of Electrical/Electromechanical engineers, ensuring successful execution of projects, initiatives & processes for reciprocating engine-driven electric power product design and development.
* Monitor and continuously improve product and process performance, quality and cost-effectiveness for all engineering activities and deliverables.
* Provide leadership to create and maintain processes used to design, develop and manufacture components, systems, products, and technologies.
* Demonstrate exceptional communication skills with both technical and commercial acumen, translating direct customer feedback into profitable product designs that exceed customer expectations.
Qualifications
* Degree in electrical engineering with extensive electrical engineering experience associated with electric power products. Lower academic qualifications will be considered if extensive experience in a relevant role(s) can be demonstrated.

* Experience of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational planning in support of the overall business plan.
* Under guidance, develops tactical plan for own direct responsibility.
Technical Excellence – Extensive Experience
* Knowledge of design, development and manufacture of electric power products, related controls and switchgear.
* Provides effective solutions to moderate technical challenges through strong technical competence, examining implications of events and issues.
* Mentors others to enhance their technical competence and its application to achieve more effective technical solutions.
* Coaches others in promoting, defining, analyzing, and providing superior technical solutions to business problems.
Effective Communications – Level Working Knowledge
* Ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights that enhance decision-making, improve operational efficiency, and support strategic initiatives.
* Ability to influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders, driving alignment between engineering solutions and business objectives.
Customer/Market Focus - Level Working Knowledge
* Experience working directly with customers on design to order products.
* Experience working with technical sales, sales, Engineering and dealers/distributors.
Managing People - Level Working Knowledge
* Ability to lead successful teams and address performance and conflicts in the workplace.
* Works with employees to set and define performance standards and career development goals; supports in achieving them.
Additional Information
* This role requires travel up to 15%.
