Job Description Family Solicitor (Private Family) Salary: £55,000–£75,000 DOE Location: Bromley area High-quality divorce & finances caseload If you’re a private family solicitor who wants to focus on what you do best (divorce and financial remedy work), this is a brilliant opportunity to join our client in the Bromley area. You’ll step into a well-established caseload with the support to deliver excellent outcomes, without being pulled into public law children matters. The opportunity This role is suited to a confident private family fee earner who enjoys running matters end-to-end, building trusted client relationships, and delivering pragmatic advice in emotionally charged situations. What you’ll be doing Managing a caseload of private family matters, with a clear focus on: Divorce Financial remedy / ancillary relief Advising clients from initial instruction through to resolution (negotiated settlements and, where required, contested proceedings) Drafting and reviewing key documents and correspondence Liaising with counsel, experts, and third parties as needed Contributing to a positive team culture and maintaining high client-care standards What our client is looking for 5 years’ PQE as a Family Solicitor (or equivalent experience) Strong UK private family law experience with demonstrable exposure to: Divorce and financial remedy matters Not suitable for candidates whose experience is primarily: Public law children “Dabbling” in private family without meaningful divorce/finances caseload ownership Excellent client communication, drafting, and case management skills Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales (or equivalent UK qualification) Benefits and working arrangements Salary: £55,000–£75,000 (dependent on experience) Bromley area location (details shared at shortlist stage) Clear progression for the right person, with scope to build seniority and profile in private family work Supportive team environment and quality-led approach to client service Working arrangement to be confirmed (please share your preference and I’ll align opportunities accordingly) If this sounds like you, send your CV to David Hawthorne-Finch at d.hawthorne-finch@h-fts.com.
