Due to an internal promotion, we are recruiting a Social Value Project Consultant to join our Social Value function. Delivering social value is an important strand of our Environmental Social Governance (ESG), our D&I approach and reflects our culture and values and will become embedded in our project delivery and office-based activities.
You will be responsible for the implementation and delivery of our social value commitments for our projects across a range of sectors. You will also play a pivotal role in developing innovative social value projects in collaboration with our multidisciplinary teams across the business.
As consultants in the built environment, we are keen to leverage our social value expertise to support our clients along their social impact journeys.
Our projects are split into 3 regions. Your role will cover region 1 which includes projects from our Newcastle, Manchester, Liverpool and Leeds offices.
Role and Responsibilities
* Manage a portfolio of social value programmes attached to Ridge projects.
* Manage all social value programme costs, performance updates and escalations.
* Seek opportunities to leverage the team’s social value expertise within Ridge projects.
* Work in partnership with a range of stakeholders to deliver programmes supporting our 4 strategic social value outcomes. Equitable Economy, Resilient Communities, Responsible Business and Environmental Stewardship
* Establish and maintain positive working relationships with key stakeholders including the client, community groups, VCSEs, MSMEs, schools local to the project to promote and raise awareness of Ridge social value activities.
* Collation, analysis and reporting of data to enable the assessment of performance against targets.
* Adopt a proactive approach to improving performance and promoting Social Value to both internal and external stakeholders.
* Collaborate with teams from across the business to design innovative social value projects relevant to each discipline.
* Support the bid team in the production of project specific community plans.
* Organise, promote, and manage stakeholder visits and associated programmes.
* Attend functions and events in relation to community engagement.
* Assist and support in coordinating a structured programme of communications, PR and media relations promoting our social value projects.
* Produce socially orientated project case studies.
* Provide thought leadership articles on key areas of social value
* Ensure Ridge leave a positive legacy within the communities we deliver our services.
Experience and Skills Required
To be successful in this role you will need to be passionate about delivering social value and able to communicate with different stakeholders (within Ridge and with clients and external third parties helping us deliver social value). You will need to have experience of delivering social value activities. Previous employment as a Social Value Manager, Social Value Coordinator, Social Value Officer or Section 106 Officer or similar to be considered.
