About the Role
As a Senior Nurse (General) at a Barchester care home, you will use your leadership skills to ensure residents receive high-quality care. You will be a hands-on clinical leader who creates a safe and supportive environment for residents with a range of mental and physical needs. You will use professional judgement to make critical clinical decisions, from assessing new residents to implementing safeguarding policies and administering medicines in line with NMC regulations. You will support and mentor your team to ensure they have the clinical training needed to deliver the highest standards of nursing. You will have the freedom and autonomy to do things the right way and be valued and respected for what you do.
About You
Every other weekend required to be worked.
* Be a Registered Nurse (RGN) with a current NMC registration and a mentoring or supervision qualification.
* Experience in producing care plans and detailed risk assessments.
* Up-to-date knowledge of the most recent clinical practices.
* Understanding of regulatory frameworks, including DoLs/MCA and Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines.
* Natural leader and problem solver who has worked with older people and acted as a clinical mentor (supporting newly qualified nurses through their preceptorship).
* Dedicated, ambitious and resilient with a track record of delivering improvements to achieve quality care.
