EHS Advisor (Wind Project)
Role will involve:
Daily Safety Briefings: Lead or support daily 'Toolbox Talks' ensuring all crews understand the day's specific hazards, weather conditions and interface risks between different work groups
High Risk Activity Oversight: Perform continious field 'boots on the ground' monitoring of critical activities, including working at height, plant and machinery movements.
RAMS Verification: Verify that the method statements are not just on paper but being actively followed by the teams in the field.
Site Safety Inspections: Conduct systematic daily walk-throughs to identify and mitigate physical hazards, ensuring the site lay out remains safe as large scale components move through the facility
Weather Monitoring: Monitor wind speeds and local weather alerts, proactively advising site management when to suspend lifting or high-altitude work to ensure technician safety.
Equipment Compliance: Spot check that all specialised equipment, rigging gear and PPE are in good condition and have verified certification.
Incident and Near-Miss Reporting: Facilitate the immediate reporting and initial investigation of ant safety observations or near-misses, focussing on preventative 'lessons learned' rather than just paperwork
Environmental Stewardship: Oversee spill prevention measures and waste management protocols, ensuring the project maintains its environmental commitments near sensitive areas or water.
Requirements:
NEBOSH General Cert
GWO Certs
Valid Medical
Valid CCNSG, CSCS or SSP
Shifts:
10 on 4 off
