Simulation Software Release Manager
Claytex Services, a TECHNIA Company, is seeking for a Simulation Software Release Manager to join our team. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis based in Leamington Spa (hybrid) and in return you will receive a competitive salary.

Role overview
As a Simulation Software Release Manager, you’ll be coordinating the model library release to our customers ensuring the highest of quality is achieved.
Responsibilities
* Library Testing, Packaging and Installer Creation:
o Coordinate, carry out and test our Modelica library upgrades for new versions of Dymola twice a year to fixed time points in the calendar.
o Package the Modelica libraries into installable formats suitable for customer distribution.
o Create comprehensive installers ensuring ease of installation and compatibility across platforms.
o Maintain our library build scripts (Modelica, Inno).
* Coordination of Library Bugs and Improvements:
o Discuss bugs and coordinate associated fixes reported for the libraries throughout the year.
o Review regression test results of the model test libraries to identify issues that need addressing.
o Prioritise and manage improvement tickets to enhance library functionalities and performance.
* Creation and Delivery of Modelica Libraries:
o Lead the creation process of the Modelica library products.
o Ensure timely delivery aligned with release schedules.
o Coordinate with development teams to meet quality standards and customer requirements.
o Update copyright statements and library version numbers and keeping the libraries up to date.
* Documentation and Quality Assurance:
o Update and maintain the library development and release process manuals
o Devise, test and document library development and release process improvements
o Check documentation for libraries, including user guides and release notes.
o Conduct quality assurance checks to verify libraries meet performance benchmarks and functional specifications.
* Customer Support and Feedback Integration:
o Provide technical support to customers regarding library installations and functionalities.
o Gather and integrate customer feedback into the development process for continuous improvement.
* Team Collaboration and Reporting:
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, testers, and project managers.
o Prepare regular progress reports and updates for management and stakeholders.
o Liaise with the internal tool development team to give feedback on current and proposed functionality so that these can be continuously improved.
What are we looking for?
We’re seeking someone motivated in the area of Quality Assurance.
Qualifications
* A degree level in a course related to QA and/or engineering
* Experience of what simulation is
* Existing knowledge of, or open to learn Dymola/Modelica
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
* Proactive problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
* A good understanding of Quality Assurance
* Experience of YouTrack (or similar) for ticket management
* Desirable knowledge in TeamCity for continuous integration server
