Our Terrestrial Ecology Team
Our team delivers a wide range of ecological services including:
* Ecological surveys and assessments
* Biodiversity Net Gain
* Licensing and compliance support
* Ecological clerk of works
* Habitat creation and restoration design impact assessment

Due to our continued growth, we are expanding our terrestrial ecology capacity across the UK.
The Role
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Ecologist to support our expanding team. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is eager to gain hands‑on experience across a wide range of terrestrial ecology projects.
In this role, you will:
* Assist with field surveys including habitat surveys and protected species surveys
* Support data collection, analysis, and mapping
* Prepare contributions to ecological reports such as PEAs and survey reports
* Work alongside experienced ecologists to gain on‑the‑job training
* Support delivery of Biodiversity Net Gain assessments and mitigation measures
* Help with project coordination and organisation
* Travel to sites across the UK as required
What you bring
You will have:
* A degree in ecology, environmental sciences, or a related discipline
* Some experience in ecological fieldwork (voluntary or professional)
* Strong interest in developing survey skills and ecological knowledge
* Basic understanding of UK wildlife legislation and ecological survey methods
* Good written and verbal communication
* A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
It would be great (but not essential) if you also have:
* Membership or eligibility for membership of CIEEM
* Training or experience in GIS
* A desire to work towards protected species survey licences
And you are proactive, reliable, organised, keen to learn, and ready to contribute within a supportive, collaborative team.
