Freelance Senior Planner - Building Glasgow | Large Main Contractor | Outside / Inside IR35 Options Competitive Day Rate | Flexible Working Available Hays Construction is currently working in partnership with a leading national main contractor to appoint a Freelance Senior Planner to support their expanding operation from a Glasgow base. Due to a strong and varied project pipeline, our client is seeking an experienced planner who can add immediate value while working closely with a well‑established project delivery and commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for a planner who values flexibility, professional support and interesting workloads. Your New Role As Freelance Senior Planner, you will play a key role in supporting the planning function across a variety of building projects. You will work collaboratively with project teams to ensure robust, achievable programmes are produced and maintained. Key responsibilities include: Producing and managing detailed construction programmes from pre‑construction through delivery Carrying out critical path analysis and programme updates Supporting project teams with sequencing, logic planning and reporting Providing programme input for progress reviews, change and delays Working closely with site, design and commercial teams to mitigate risk This role offers genuine flexibility, with hybrid working available and IR35 status determined on a role‑by‑role basis.
