The London Borough of Harrow is seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor Master Technician to join its Fleet Services team on a temporary basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled individual to play a key role in supporting and supervising the effective delivery of fleet maintenance operations. The hourly rate for this position is £ 35.75 per hour Umbrella Paye.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicles to meet safety and regulatory standards.
2. Support strategic fleet planning and efficient workshop operations.
3. Lead service delivery and supervise workshop performance and staff.
4. Coordinate resources and contribute to wider council transport initiatives.
5. Communicate effectively with the Service Manager and complete documentation promptly.
6. Stay current on regulations, undergo training, and hold relevant vehicle licenses.
Role Requirements:
7. UK Driver's Licence + access to a vehicle
8. HGV Licence
9. MOT tester (Classes 4/5/7)
10. Compliance knowledge: O Licence & DVSA standards
11. Strong decision-making and adaptability
12. Experience managing deadlines and conflicting demands
13. Supervisory experience in H&S and team management
14. Skilled in performance supervision and handling behaviour
15. Customer-facing service experience
