Marine Account Manager

Marine Resources is working on behalf of Harken, a globally recognized leader in the marine industry. Harken is seeking a dynamic and driven Marine Account Manager to join their team in Lymington. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate sailor with a knack for building relationships and driving sales. As a Marine Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales and fostering relationships with Harken’s valued clients. Your key responsibilities will include:
Growing sales of Harken and Harken-distributed products with assigned accounts, ensuring both personal and company sales targets are met.
Conducting face-to-face client visits, merchandising, and assisting with quotes and product specifications.
Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the marine sector.
Providing technical support and answering queries on existing hardware.
Managing the entire order process, from conception to completion, ensuring seamless delivery.
Maintaining and updating the CRM system.
Handling returns and warranty claims with efficiency and professionalism.
Collaborating with the dispatch and purchasing teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
Supporting and attending marine exhibitions and events as required. To excel in this role, you’ll need:
Technical sailing experience and knowledge – A keen and experienced sailor with an in-depth understanding of boat hardware products.
Sales experience – A self-starter with a proven track record in a target-driven sales environment.
Attention to detail – A meticulous approach to managing orders and customer interactions.
Strong communication skills – The ability to build relationships and communicate clearly and concisely, whether in person, over the phone, or via email.
Full manual driving licence – For client visits and event attendance.
