Roving Project Manager
Location: Ideally commutable to Cheltenham
Sectors: Retail & Commercial (M&E)
Travel: M4 corridor + occasional nationwide projects (approx. one night away per week)
Salary: UPTO £70,000 + package
Requirements: CSCS Card, SMSTS, proven Project Management experience
Role Overview
A client-facing Roving Project Manager is required to join a respected, medium-sized M&E contractor with an excellent reputation across the retail and commercial sectors. The business delivers high‑quality schemes for many of the UK’s Tier 1 main contractors and is known for its professionalism, strong client relationships, and consistent repeat business.
This role suits a Project Manager who enjoys variety, autonomy, and regular client interaction while overseeing multiple live projects across the M4 corridor and occasionally further afield.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing multiple M&E fit‑out projects from pre‑start through to handover
* Acting as the primary client contact, ensuring expectations are met and communication is clear
* Overseeing site teams, subcontractors, and supply chain partners
* Monitoring programme, quality, H&S compliance, and commercial performance
* Preparing progress reports and maintaining accurate project documentation
* Supporting planning, procurement, and project delivery processes
* Travelling between sites, with occasional overnight stays when required
Candidate Profile
* Proven experience as a Project Manager within construction, fit‑out and a little M&E knowledge would be great
* Strong client‑facing skills and the ability to build long-term relationships
* Excellent organisational and communication abilities
* Comfortable managing multiple projects and working independently
* Electrical background helpful but not essential
* CSCS Card and SMSTS required
* Full UK driving licence
* Willingness to travel and stay away when needed
