The role of Project Worker will include:
* Regularly assessing the needs of clients by writing and updating support plans, and signposting access to education, training, and employment
* Assisting clients with managing finances and welfare benefits
* Encouraging social inclusion and helping clients to build their confidence, resilience, and self-esteem
* Working with statutory and non-statutory agencies on behalf of the clients, actively encouraging choice and involvement, or acting as an advocate when required
* Promoting safe working practices by undertaking risk assessments within legislative frameworks
Skills and experiences:
* Previous experience supporting victims of domestic abuse or in a supported living environment as a project worker
* Knowledge of housing management, including voids and arrears management
* Understanding of occupancy agreements
* Ability to react effectively under pressure
* Ability to work on your own initiative and source innovative solutions to problems
* Empathetic and non-judgmental with good interpersonal and customer care skills
* NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care, or willingness to work towards
