About the roleYou will join the Analytics and Optimisation team, which sits within the Technology Product department looking after market leading online groceries proposition, a new Marketplace proposition, the Clubcard proposition, and the digital entities in-store. The Analytics and Optimisation team is responsible for providing insight and learning to the wider Product, Trading and UX teams to help drive decision making. The team is looking to advance its optimisation practises to develop a best in class testing programme.As Senior Optimisation Manager at Tesco you will continuously improve user experience through experimentation and insight. You will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that we focus on activities that genuinely make a difference to our customers and impact business goals.As an experienced specialist you will be part of a dynamic team that is determined to build and maintain a best in class experimentation programme that is at the centre of the digital development roadmap across all devices and platforms.The position can be based either at our Digital Innovation Centre in Farringdon, London, or at our head office in Welwyn Garden City, but some travel to the other office will be required.You will be responsible forPlacing the customer at the heart of my projects and initiativesWorking to develop the end-to-end optimisation and testing activity that is underpinned by performance analysis (using Adobe Analytics and other sources of insight to segment and understand MV/A/B test results)Developing behavioural targeting, personalisation and recommendations across Tesco Online products to improve site performance and customer experiencePartnering with the Analysts in the team to collate and presenting test results in a simple engaging way with actionable recommendations that can be applied to improve our digital products and the greater businessBuilding and testing strong hypotheses, collaborating closely with UX, Product and other relevant teamsActively contributing towards the prioritisation process and help shape the product roadmapFollowing our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligenceYou will needProven track record of managing experimentation activity in a considered way that delivers improved commercial performance and customer insightCustomer centric mindset focused on delivering great user experiencesDemonstrable experience of testing platforms such as Optimizely and LeanplumExperience of manipulating, analysing and synthesising data using different sourcesGood knowledge of experimental design and statistics for testingStrong communication and presentation skillsManaging and influencing cross functional stakeholdersUniversity degree of 2:1 or higher in a quantitative discipline or relevant experienceExperience in challenging the status quo and delivering innovationWhats in it for you?We’re all about the little helps.
