Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. This role involves creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young learners, fostering their development through play and structured activities. The Nursery Practitioner will play a key role in supporting the management team and leading a group of children in their daily routines. The role is initially to lead our Baby room.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement engaging educational activities that promote children's physical, emotional, and social development.
* Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care, maintaining a clean and organised nursery environment.
* Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and teamwork.
* Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and adapting activities to meet individual needs.
* Support the management team in maintaining high standards of care and education within the nursery setting.
* Lead by example, demonstrating strong leadership skills while mentoring junior staff members.
* Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in early childhood education.
Qualifications
* Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or Childcare are essential.
* Previous experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is highly desirable.
* Strong management and leadership abilities to guide staff effectively.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
* A valid driving licence is preferred but not mandatory for this role.
