About the Role We’re looking for a dedicated Family Keyworker to join our innovative new project. You’ll be part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team supporting women and their families in Bridgwater who are experiencing multiple and complex needs—ranging from poverty and mental health issues to generational trauma and family breakdown. As a keyworker with The Nelson Trust, you’ll provide intensive, wrap-around support to help families build stronger relationships, improve wellbeing, and access community resources. You’ll work 1:1 with women, facilitate group sessions, and collaborate with partner agencies to deliver truly person-centred care. What You’ll Do Deliver practical and emotional support to women and their families Develop and manage tailored support plans using SMART goals Facilitate group interventions and outreach services Attend multi-agency meetings and advocate for clients Maintain accurate case records and contribute to service development Work flexibly across satellite bases and community settings What We’re Looking For Experience working with women with complex needs Understanding of trauma-informed and gender-specific approaches Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to manage a caseload and work independently Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (business insurance reimbursed) Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and high-quality service delivery This post is open to female applicants only under the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1.
