Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer – Building Services
Location: Harrogate
Salary: £32,000 - £40,000
An independent building design consultancy is looking for an eager and experienced Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer to join their team in Harrogate.
You will take a key role in the delivery of electrical design services, working closely with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams to develop efficient, sustainable, and innovative building services solutions.
Key responsibilities:
Designing electrical systems including lighting, power, fire alarm, security, and data installations
Preparing design calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports
Supporting energy-efficient and low-carbon design strategies
Liaising with clients, architects, and contractors throughout the design and construction process
Assisting in project delivery from concept through to completion
Using design software such as Revit, Amtech, and Dialux/ReluxWhat we’re looking for:
A degree or equivalent qualification in Building Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline
Minimum 3/4 years’ experience in a building services design role
Working knowledge of relevant standards and building regulations
Proficiency in electrical design and coordination using modern software tools
A proactive approach, strong communication skills, and attention to detail
Progress toward (or interest in pursuing) Chartered Engineer status with the IET or CIBSEBenefits:
