We have a unique and exciting opportunity for a support worker to work alongside our client in Norwich, Norfolk on a bank basis.
Our client is a young man in his 20's. He's a charming and inspiring young man who has a wide spectrum of interests, from Peppa pig to world politics, his magnetic personality will draw you in to a conversation on those topics and everything in between at ease. He loves baking, quiz shows, getting out and about in the local area and football (him being a huge Chelsea fan) Most of all he adores people, his care team describe him as a joy to work with and say he has nothing but kind words to share.
65 per hour weekdays & £14.18 per hour weekends.
Hours: Bank (shifts between 07:30 - 19:30, seven day week rota, published well in advance)
He has an NG tube for drainage and is fed by jejunal tube via his bowel, also due to scoliosis he has a bipap to support breathing during the night. He has a concise care plan in place to support the following:
Daily/nightly bowel, urinary and personal care programme.
Manual handling.
Transportation - a full UK driving licence and vehicle is essential.
We're looking for someone with experience working in a care environment, ideally with young adults/children. Complex care experience is desirable but not essential as training will be given, most importantly the client wants someone dependable, sociable and thoughtful with positive energy, solid common sense, vigilance and good communication skills. In return you will be able to gain experience and grow skills that few other roles provide, while working within a great team and a supportive family in a lovely environment that includes access to areas in the home specifically for support workers.
Our client may have complex needs but he's defined far more by his wonderful qualities, he's a delightful, incredibly funny person and an inspiration to the people around him. Libertatem Healthcare Group recognise the benefits of people and organisations working together to prevent and stop both the risks and experience of abuse or neglect, whilst balancing the right to be safe with the right to make informed choices. At the same time, making sure that both adult's and children's wellbeing is promoted including taking into consideration their views, wishes, feelings and beliefs in deciding on any action. With this in mind, we will work to adhere to the six key principles that underpin all safeguarding work.
The Libertatem Healthcare Group is rated OUTSTANDING with the Care Quality Commission and is a registered provider with CIW in Wales.
