What you will do:- Conduct independent reviews of children and young people's care plans, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and guidelines- Provide expert advice and guidance to social workers and other professionals involved in the care of children, ensuring that all decisions are made in their best interests- Monitor and challenge practice to promote the highest standards of care and protection for children- Facilitate constructive relationships between children, families, and professionals, fostering a collaborative approach- Review and analyse reports to ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date- Attend meetings and take responsibility for chairing child protection conferences and review meetings as required
Essential requirements:- A degree or equivalent qualification in social work- Current registration with Social Work England- Significant frontline experience in UK Social Services as a qualified social worker- Strong understanding of relevant legislation, including the Children Act 1989 and 2004- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
