Tradewind Recruitment are working on behalf of a well-established SEMH school in Wigan, catering for students across Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 4. This is a long-term role, starting as soon as possible until July 2026, with the potential to move from temporary to permanent.

The Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
Deliver pre-planned lessons across KS3 and KS4
Provide cover for absent staff across the school
Build strong relationships with students and staff
Implement effective behaviour management strategies
Ensure learning is purposeful, engaging and well-managed
You will be supported by a committed and collaborative team, receive a comprehensive induction, access to ongoing CPD, and have the opportunity to progress into teacher training.
The Successful Candidate Will:
Be confident covering lessons across a range of subjects
Adapt quickly to different classroom situations
Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills
Be a motivated, collaborative individual who can lead and support students effectively
Essential Requirements:
A degree-level qualification (or equivalent)
Minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above, including English and Maths
At least 6 months' experience working with students aged 11-16
A positive attitude and genuine desire to work in education
Confidence managing behaviour in a classroom setting
Location
The school is based in Wigan, with excellent access to major motorways, strong public transport links, and onsite parking available.
