About the Role:
Marks Sattin are partnering with a large organisation based in Hull that is looking to recruit an Interim Assistant Management Accountant to support their finance team on an initial 3-6 months period.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare monthly management accounts, including posting journals, accruals, and payroll entries
* Analyse variances against forecast and provide insightful commentary
* Post foreign trial balances from overseas accounting firms and ensure alignment with the Group ERP system
* Conduct detailed cost analysis to support forecasting and decision-making
* Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
* Prepare and submit ONS returns
* Support the wider finance team with queries and ad-hoc tasks
* Assist with year-end processes and liaise with external auditors
* Contribute to process improvement initiatives and strengthen internal controls
* Perform ad-hoc financial analysis to support ongoing projects
What We're Looking For:
* Part-qualified or fully qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) preferred
* Proven experience in a similar role within a fast-paced finance environment
* Strong Excel skills and confidence working with large data sets
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Effective communicator with the ability to build relationships
