A well-established SEN school in Maidenhead is looking for a caring and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. The school supports pupils with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), with a strong focus on building confidence, independence, and life skills alongside academic progress. In this role, you’ll be supporting pupils in a structured classroom environment, working on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. You’ll help break down learning, provide additional support with core subjects, and encourage pupils to engage and achieve at their own pace. Responsibilities Support pupils with MLD on a 1:1 basis and in small groups Assist the class teacher with delivering differentiated lessons Help pupils develop key literacy, numeracy, and life skills Provide encouragement and support to build confidence and independence Work collaboratively with teaching staff and support teams Requirements Experience working with children or young people with additional needs, ideally MLD A patient, supportive, and encouraging approach Good communication and teamwork skills Ability to adapt learning to meet individual needs Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential At Supply Hive, safeguarding is a top priority and all candidates will be subject to enhanced DBS checks and referencing.
