We are actively seeking an experienced Buyer within the Kingswinford area on a straight to permanent basis.

Salary:
£30,000 – £33,000 DOE
Hours of Work:
07:30am – 16:30pm

17. Quality Knowledge ISO 9001, 13485, 14001 standards
Key duties of the role include –
18. Develop and manage strategic supplier partnerships to drive long-term value.
19. Help develop category negotiation strategies and drive those negotiations to achieve stated goals and objectives
20. Responsible for the procurement of goods and services in line with the group procurement strategy (current product as well as NPD)
21. Oversee the procurement and inventory management process, ensuring seamless receipt of materials and services in collaboration with the operations team. Maintain accurate purchase and stock records, proactively monitor deliveries, and mitigate risks of stock-outs by addressing past-due shipments.
22. Build relationships with suppliers and manage their performance. Participate in or lead monthly/quarterly reviews for key categories and be prepared to challenge suppliers on delivery performance, quality and execution of supply. Document actions generated via these forums and maintain delivery performance data.
23. Collaborate with the Quality Team to evaluate and monitor supplier compliance, ensuring that approved and prospective suppliers meet Prism Group’s material and service standards.
24. Collaborate closely with Manufacturing to optimize material flow, ensuring alignment with Kanban systems and strategic forward planning to support efficient production operations.
25. Liaise proactively with the Finance Team to resolve invoice discrepancies and Non-Delivery Issues (NDIs), ensuring timely actions and adherence to agreed resolution timelines.
26. Identify cost savings through research into specific material categories, providing the The Group Head of Procurement with detailed supply proposals, and formulate annual plans for designated spending categories to achieve divisional cost reduction targets and year-on-year improvements.
27. Remain current with market trends through relationships with suppliers and market relevant market intelligence.
28. Manage and respond to general queries relating to purchase of materials, suppliers and Logistics processes.
29. Participate on driving best practice and change activities to ensure continuous improvement and adherence to group procurement KPIs
