We are looking for a Physiotherapist Band 6 with Neurorehabilitation experience to join the multidisciplinary Care and Rehabilitation Centre (CRC) in Leatherhead. If you are passionate about neurorehabilitation and want to help people thrive after stroke, brain injury or spinal injury, we want to hear from you.
We are able to offer a tier 2 visa sponsorship for applicants already in the UK (we are unable to sponsor applicants from abroad).
Responsibilities
* Manage own caseload and service area independently.
* Work within a multi-disciplinary neuro-rehabilitation team to support effective service delivery.
* Assess clients and develop, monitor, and evaluate treatment programmes; incorporate strategies into client management.
* Set and review client goals.
* Assist with casting, splinting, and implementing treatment plans via support staff or care teams.
* Support wheelchair seating assessments and home visits with Occupational Therapy.
* Stay updated on professional developments.
* Supervise physiotherapy assistants as needed.
* Train care staff in handling, mobility, splint use, and safe transfers.
* Ensure safe working environments to optimise client outcomes.
* Contribute to reports for client reviews and case conferences.
* Maintain equipment safety and follow Health and Safety guidelines.
* Liaise with clients, families, and agencies for rehabilitation and discharge planning.
* Keep accurate records and provide written assessments and reports as required.
Qualifications and Experience
* Essential: A professional qualification in physiotherapy; a practising member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists; membership of Health Professions Council.
* Desirable: ACPIN membership.
* Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team.
* Experience of neurorehabilitation to a specialist level (desirable); confident in administering specialist neurological assessments; evidence of post-graduate CPD; proven ability to work with and supervise assistants.
Knowledge and Skills
* Good literacy and numeracy; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Competent in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
* Good decision making and problem-solving skills; ability to use initiative.
