Customer Services Officer
Sculthorpe Moor Nature Reserve, Norfolk
Sculthorpe Moor Nature Reserve is seeking a friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic Customer Services Officer to join our welcoming team at the Visitor Centre.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with the public and has an interest in wildlife and conservation, to contribute to the smooth running of a busy and much-loved nature reserve.
Key Responsibilities
Welcoming visitors and providing excellent customer service at the front desk
Answering telephone enquiries and directing queries appropriately
Opening and closing the Visitor Centre
Operating the till and handling daily cashing up
Supporting volunteers and working collaboratively with staff and wardens
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation within the centre
Replenishing shop stock and maintaining equipment (e.g. coffee machine)
Promoting membership and supporting the work of the reserve
Ensuring health and safety compliance while on duty
About You
We are looking for someone who:
Has experience working with the public
Is organised and able to work in a busy environment
Has excellent communication and telephone skills
Is reliable, trustworthy, and a strong team player
Is confident using computers and basic IT systems
Has good numeracy and attention to detail
Has an interest in wildlife and conservation
Working Pattern & Pay
£12.71 per hour
Part-time: Friday to Sunday (09:15 – 16:15), every third weekend
Additional hours available to cover staff leave and sickness
6 days paid annual leave
Training provided

This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check (paid for by the Trust)
