Job Description
We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Kitchen Porter to join our bustling kitchen team in Birmingham, United Kingdom. As a vital member of our culinary operations, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen, ensuring smooth and efficient food service.
1. Maintain impeccable cleanliness and organisation in all kitchen areas • Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, ensuring they are ready for service • Assist with the cleaning of food preparation areas, floors, and storage spaces • Support the kitchen team by keeping work areas tidy and well-stocked • Handle and store cleaning chemicals safely and appropriately
2. Receive, check, and properly store deliveries for all departments • Dispose of waste in compliance with health and safety guidelines • Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, as required • Adhere to strict food safety standards and hygiene practices • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations during busy periods • Maintain a positive and supportive attitude, contributing to a team-oriented environment
