Stopover project provides accommodation-based housing support services to 14 young people aged 16-25 years. Each young person has their own bedsit, comprising a sitting room/bedroom, kitchen, and en-suite bathroom. The aim is to support young people in developing independent living skills to transition to less supported accommodation or their own tenancy.
We are recruiting for a Part-Time 30-hour Transition Mentor based in Glasgow. The role involves coordinating activities and evidencing outcomes achieved. This is an excellent opportunity to join our dedicated team and support young people through trauma-informed practices, empowering them and ensuring their voices are heard. As a Transition Mentor, you will work closely with young people aged 16-25, exploring opportunities in employment, education, and community integration. Some supported young people have experienced severe trauma, and you will provide advice and support to ensure their safety and well-being.
The project operates 24 hours a day with a sleepover and nightshift. Transition mentors work on a rolling 7-week rota, including early, day, late, and sleepover shifts, although dedicated nightshift workers are separate and will not be part of your rota.
This is a part-time permanent role, working 30 hours per week.
