<div><p>Role: EC&I Designer</p><p>Location: Liverpool Area | Hybrid Working</p><p>Salary: NEG DOE</p><p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced EC&I Designer to join a growing team delivering projects across the UKs gas and energy infrastructure sector.</p><p>Working on a range of technically challenging projects, you will be responsible for producing high-quality Electrical, Control & Instrumentation design deliverables throughout the full project lifecycle, from FEED and detailed design through to construction, commissioning, and handover.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Produce EC&I design documentation and drawings for industrial and infrastructure projects.</li><li>Develop Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), loop diagrams, cable schedules, instrument hook-ups, control panel layouts, hazardous area drawings, and associated design deliverables.</li><li>Support the development of control philosophies, cause and effect matrices, instrument indexes, and equipment schedules.</li><li>Review vendor documentation and incorporate package interfaces into project designs.</li><li>Participate in design reviews, HAZOP studies, client meetings, and technical workshops.</li><li>Provide technical support during fabrication, installation, and commissioning activities.</li><li>Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements.</li></ul><h3>About You</h3><ul><li>HNC, HND, Degree, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation & Control, Engineering Design, or a related discipline.</li><li>Proven EC&I design experience within the gas, oil & gas, energy, utilities, or wider process industries.</li><li>Strong understanding of hazardous area installations and safety-critical environments.</li><li>Experience producing detailed design deliverables throughout the engineering lifecycle.</li><li>Ability to interpret P&IDs, engineering specifications, and technical documentation.</li><li>Experience producing Functional Design Specifications (FDS) would be advantageous.</li></ul><h3>Technical Skills</h3><ul><li>Proficient in AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Electrical.</li><li>Knowledge of instrumentation systems, PLCs, SCADA systems, and control panel design.</li><li>Familiarity with ATEX, DSEAR, IEC 60079, IEC 61511, and related industry standards.</li><li>Experience with EPLAN or AVEVA Electrical & Instrumentation would be beneficial.</li></ul><h3>Whats On Offer</h3><ul><li>Hybrid working arrangement with a mix of office, site, and remote working.</li><li>Opportunity to work on projects supporting critical UK gas and energy infrastructure.</li><li>Exposure to technically challenging and safety-critical engineering environments.</li><li>Career development within a collaborative and growing engineering team.</li><li>Competitive salary and benefits package.</li></ul></div>
