Job Purpose and Overview ​ ​ ​ The main purpose of the Legal Advisor role is to take responsibility for a caseload of files, whilst providing excellent client service and the management of completion targets. ​ ​ Key tasks and Accountabilities ​ Working closely and proactively with an Executive on a day-to-day basis, to ensure the smooth running of the files, exchanges, and completions Responsible for the full process including dealing with additional queries on a case and title investigations Advising clients on any legal issues they should be aware of Reporting any legal issues to Mortgagees Obtaining quotes for Indemnity policies and putting the relevant policies into force Communicating with clients on a purchase with documents for signing Signing files off authorising an Exchange of Contracts to take place on a sale and purchase Dealing with clients, brokers, agents or other work providers in a professional manner at all times Ensuring all processes are carried out efficiently using the case management system Keeping up to date with new legislation and sharing with colleagues where appropriate ​ Person Specification ​ 2-3 years’ experience in conveyancing field Comfortable managing your own caseload and working efficiently with colleagues through all stages of the conveyancing process Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise Experience using case management systems Excellent communication skills with a good client ethos Good attention to detail Team player Able to work on own initiative A willingness to learn ​ What we offer you ​ A Flexible working environment ​ We offer a number of flexible working options to staff, which allow them to balance their individuals needs with those of the business The flexibility to take annual leave from as little as one hour at a time We also operate a flexitime working system providing flexibility with hours of work Lunchtime closure across the firm with one hour lunchbreak ​ Salary and benefits ​ We offer a competitive salary within a salary scale that allows ongoing progression A starting annual leave entitlement of 31 days (including bank holidays) increasing by a further 2 weeks with service Additional 1/2 day off on your birthday Full-time hours which are lower than many employers at 35 hours per week over Monday to Friday We operate a non-contractual bonus scheme which you will benefit from after completion of our “settling in” period Structured personal development and progression pathways Collaborative team environment Mental health and wellbeing support This role will be based at our Beech House office. ​ Ready to Join Us?
