About The Role
A welcoming and well:structured Greenwich primary school is seeking a committed One:to:One Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 pupil with SEMH and behavioural needs from 23rd February.
The pupil finds transitions challenging and requires consistent adult guidance to remain engaged in lessons and manage emotional responses. The role involves providing structured support throughout the school day, including during unstructured times such as break and lunch, to ensure stability and routine.
You will work closely with the class teacher, SENCo, and pastoral team to implement behaviour strategies and provide targeted support that enables the pupil to access learning in a mainstream classroom environment.
The Ideal Candidate
The school is looking for a One:to:One Teaching Assistant who:
Has experience supporting pupils with SEMH or behavioural needs
Can remain calm and confident during moments of dysregulation
Understands positive behaviour reinforcement strategies
Is consistent, firm, and fair in their approach
Builds strong professional relationships with pupils and staff
KS2 experience and previous one:to:one support experience are highly desirable.
