We are currently recruiting an IT Infrastructure Engineer to join Casey in this newly created position to manage the day-to-day IT infrastructure operations across Casey.
Who are we looking for?
We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to manage and maintain the day-to-day operations of our IT environment.
You will have deep expertise in Microsoft technologies, including Windows Server, Active Directory/Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Intune, and Azure/hybrid cloud platforms. Strong hands-on experience with virtualisation (Hyper-V/SCVMM), networking (Cisco switching, firewalls, VPNs, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and backup/disaster recovery solutions (Rubrik or equivalent) is essential, along with advanced PowerShell skills for automation and configuration management.
The successful candidate will ensure that our systems remain secure, reliable, and high-performing, proactively identifying and resolving issues, optimising processes, and maintaining day-to-day infrastructure health. Attention to detail, operational discipline, and a commitment to continual improvement are key to success in this role.
Experience with ITIL/ITSM frameworks, compliance/security standards (ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials), ERP systems, monitoring tools, and modern security frameworks such as Zero Trust is desirable. The ideal candidate will also be able to mentor junior team members, manage critical systems, and ensure the IT infrastructure operates smoothly and efficiently.
The role of IT Infrastructure Engineer at Casey
· Lead the architectural design, planning, and implementation of new and existing infrastructure solutions (servers, networking, cloud, storage, backups).
· Act as the senior technical authority and final escalation point for the IT team, providing expert support for complex issues.
· Oversee the management and support of core technology areas, including Virtualisation, Cloud, Networking, and Storage & Backup systems.
· Lead the technical delivery of infrastructure projects such as upgrades, migrations, and new deployments.
· Mentor and provide technical guidance to other IT staff, fostering skill development within the team.
· Champion and implement advanced automation and scripting (e.g., PowerShell) to optimise operational efficiency.
· Collaborate with the IT Manager by providing technical recommendations and contributing to the wider business strategy.
· Establish and enforce standards for infrastructure monitoring, patching, performance tuning, and security.
· Develop and maintain high-quality technical documentation and robust change management processes.

· Salary between £45,000 - £50,000 depending on experience
