Job Description
Senior Digital Investigator – Multiple Opportunities - Computer (PC) devices and Mobile devices
Location: Birmingham City Centre
Requirements:
* ALL APPLICANTS MUST HAVE 5 YEARS UK ADDRESS HISTORY TO ALLOW FOR SECURITY CLEARANCE (SC)
Responsibilities:
* Provide written estimates for the forensic examination of digital computer devices to both prosecution and defence.
* Develop examination strategies based on case specifics, outlining work plans and costs.
* Organize and manage daily casework activities efficiently, ensuring standards and quality.
* Conduct investigations adhering to scientific and commercial best practices, delivering projects on time and within budget.
* Assist in seizure of equipment and on-site data acquisition at customer premises.
* Oversee R&D work conducted by team members.
* Produce detailed reports and provide expert testimony.
* Review colleagues’ reports for quality assurance.
* Handle exhibits following evidential rules and safeguards.
* Mentor junior staff members.
* Communicate case progress to customers through briefings and presentations.
* Stay updated on technological advancements and suggest process improvements.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Proven experience as a computer (PC) investigator with forensic expertise.
* Degree or equivalent in computer science or forensic investigation.
* Track record in forensic investigations, including imaging, analysis, reporting, and court testimony.
* Understanding of UK legislation relevant to digital forensics.
* Excellent report writing and court procedure knowledge.
