We help purpose-led organisations harness data as a lever for change and support data transformation journeys, from advisory and data strategy to Data & AI solutions and managed services. We are a Microsoft Solutions Partner with multiple specialisations and designations, and we work with clients across the public and private sectors from offices in York and Sheffield, UK.
Role focus: design, deploy, and manage cloud solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform; architect cloud infrastructure; implement security best practices; optimise resources for performance and cost-efficiency; collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders to deliver robust and scalable cloud solutions.
Responsibilities
* Design and implement Azure cloud infrastructure solutions with a focus on scalability, reliability, and security.
* Manage and optimise Azure resources for cost and performance efficiency.
* Support cloud migration projects, including planning, execution, and post-migration support.
* Implement and manage Azure services such as Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, Azure Databricks, Microsoft Sentinel and related services.
* Automate deployment and management using infrastructure as code (Azure Bicep) and tools such as Azure CLI and Azure DevOps.
* Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.
* Ensure security best practices and policies are followed in the cloud environment.
* Provide ongoing support and maintenance for cloud infrastructure.
* Participate in the on-call rota for managed service customers.
* Develop and maintain internal policies, procedures, standards, baselines, and guidelines where applicable.

Technical Requirements
* Extensive experience with Azure DevOps and infrastructure as code (Azure Bicep, Terraform).
* Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, or similar).
* Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines.
* Working knowledge of Azure services and Git version control.
* Experience with monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Application Insights, or similar).
* Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments and Azure networking concepts.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft Defender services.
* Familiarity with the Cloud Adoption Framework and the Azure Landing Zone architecture.
* Active Directory and Entra ID familiarity.
Experience & Certifications (Beneficial)
* Microsoft 365 and related services; Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Sentinel.
* Atlassian Jira.
* Microsoft certifications such as AZ-500, AZ-305, AZ-104, AZ-400.
