Deputy Home Manager
As a Deputy Home Manager, you will ensure the level of clinical care goes beyond statutory, regulatory and legal requirements. You will provide specialist nursing support and advice, take responsibility for resident care in the Home Manager’s absence, and supervise and coach colleagues to deliver exceptional care.
Responsibilities
* Provide specialist nursing support and advice to residents.
* Oversee resident care in the Home Manager’s absence.
* Supervise and coach staff to uphold high standards of care.
* Maintain accurate and meaningful records.
* Protect residents by identifying signs of abuse, harm or neglect and report concerns appropriately.
* Participate in safeguarding and other relevant training.
* Promote and uphold HC‑One’s values of Kindness, Compassion, Creativity, Courage and Community.
Qualifications & Experience
* Valid NMC Pin.
* Knowledge of National Standards and NMC Code of Practice.
* Experience in person‑centred care planning within a care home.
* Excellent communication, mentoring and time‑management skills.
* Positive, compassionate, and collaborative attitude.
Safeguarding Commitment
All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and complete additional areas as needed. Must recognise signs of abuse, harm or neglect and know how to report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.
