About Us
BKS (Made to Measure) Ltd is the leading UK manufacturer of bespoke motorcycle clothing, trusted by police forces, emergency services, racers and riders worldwide. Established in 1986, we combine traditional tailoring expertise with technical innovation. At the end of 2024 we relocated to new premises on the outskirts of Exmouth. As part of the next phase two of our growth, we are upgrading our measuring, design and pattern-making facilities with cutting-edge CAD software and 3D body scanning technology, alongside building a new design studio.
The Role
We're seeking a highly skilled Lead CAD Pattern Maker to head up our pattern-making operations. This is a senior role within our design and production team, responsible not only for creating precise digital patterns but also for driving innovation, setting standards, and supporting junior team members in best practices.
Responsibilities:
Lead on the development of CAD patterns for bespoke motorcycle clothing.
Ensure accuracy, consistency and efficiency across all pattern-making processes.
Collaborate with design, cutting, and production teams to deliver garments to the highest standards.
Manage and maintain digital pattern libraries and oversee version control.
Provide guidance and mentorship to other team members where required.
Support ongoing improvements to workflow and technology use within the department.
About You
Significant experience in CAD pattern making, ideally in apparel, leatherwear, or technical garments.
Strong technical skills in CAD software, Vetigraph experience is a strong advantage.
Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
Leadership or supervisory experience is desirable.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
A passion for craftsmanship and innovation.
