The Opportunity: (Brief Overview of the Role)
The role holder will:
Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with technology control owners, as well as platform, data, and engineering teams.
Requirements Management: Accurately gather and document requirements to ensure all stakeholders have a clear understanding of project needs.
Timeline & Effort Articulation: Clearly define and communicate project timelines and required efforts, supporting effective planning and execution.
Enable Delivery: Drive alignment and transparency, ensuring the project stays on track and meets its delivery objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and deliver transformational change
Support control operators in driving and implementing transformational initiatives across multiple control domains, managing risk in alignment with organisational priorities. Leverage Agile methodologies and automation tools to optimise delivery.
Align technology controls with standards and strategy
Ensure all technology controls adhere to industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and the organisation’s overarching risk management strategy.
Enhance and remediate controls sustainably
Execute initiatives to strengthen or remediate controls, focusing on sustainable solutions that deliver long-term benefits for the organisation.
Establish and monitor key control indicators (KCIs)
Define and track KCIs to assess the effectiveness of risk mitigation measures and inform continuous improvement.
Engage with snr stakeholders
Build and maintain strong relationships with key snr stakeholders—including Global Businesses and Global Functions (GBGFs), Second and Third Lines of Defence, and External Audit—to foster a cohesive approach to technology risk management.
Leverage risk data for prioritisation
Utilise risk-related data analytics to inform and influence the prioritisation of control activities and initiatives.
What you will need to succeed in the role: (Minimum Qualification and Skills Required)
•Demonstrated success in delivering sustainable solutions within enterprise-scale environments.
•Proven capability to influence C-suite executives and effectively manage snr stakeholders with divergent perspectives.
•Extensive history in designing, implementing, and optimising control frameworks and operational processes.
•In-depth understanding of control operations, regulatory compliance, and industry-leading practices.
•Skilled in articulating complex technical concepts to both snr leadership and non-technical audiences, ensuring clarity and alignment.
•Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strong track record of navigating and evaluating intricate technology ecosystems.
•Comprehensive knowledge of enterprise risk management platforms and tools, particularly within large financial institutions.
What additional skills will be good to have? (List out good to have skills and certifications)
•Excellent project management skills with a track record of successfully leading large-scale initiatives preferred.
