Waking Night Residential Childcare Support Worker

Salary: Up to £14.60 per hour
(Qualified Support Worker salary is based on the proven existing completion of a Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent)
Specific Hours : 20:00pm- 8:00am (12 hour shifts)

We're now looking for a Casual Waking Night Support Worker to support the physical, emotional, and social development of the children and young people in our homes.
Duties and Responsibilities
Stay awake and alert for the full night shift
Ensure children's safety and wellbeing throughout the night
Provide empathy, reassurance, and support when needed
Support personalised bedtime routines and occasional activities
Keep accurate computer-based records
Follow the Philomena protocol for missing children
Communicate with out-of-hours services and handle calls professionally
Follow all Area Camden policies and act as a positive role model
Contribute to the home's values and adapt to children's changing needs
Essential skills required
Strong teamwork, energy, and enthusiasm
Knowledge of safeguarding children
Able to follow tasks, record handovers, and maintain policies
Good written and verbal communication
Able to listen, engage, and act appropriately with children
Organised, with good planning skills
Willing to work toward a Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification (if not already held)
