Job Description:
As a Trainee Loading Bay and Industrial Door Engineer, you will work alongside experienced engineers to install, service, and repair a variety of loading bay systems and industrial door products, including:
* Sectional overhead doors
* Roller shutters
* Dock levellers
* High-speed doors
* Fire doors and security doors
You'll gain experience across all aspects of the trade, including fault finding, electrical and mechanical maintenance, and health and safety practices. The role will involve travel to customer sites across South Wales and occasionally further afield, so a flexible and positive attitude is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial doors and loading bay equipment
* Work under the guidance of senior engineers to learn technical skills and safety procedures
* Maintain accurate job records and reports
* Follow company health and safety policies and site regulations
* Provide excellent customer service on-site
* Travel to various customer locations as required
Requirements:
Essential:
* A strong willingness to learn a trade
* Good practical and mechanical aptitude
* Full UK driving licence (or in process of obtaining)
* Ability to work at height and in various weather conditions
* Strong work ethic and reliability
* Good communication and teamwork skills
Desirable (but not essential):
* Previous experience in construction, engineering, or a mechanical/electrical trade
* CSCS card or other industry-relevant certifications
* Basic understanding of electrical or mechanical systems
